The user to user messenger is directly integrated into your website and visitors can instantly see who is online.

Currently there are three versions if u2um:

u2um 1

This is the simplest version, providing only standard functions allowing visitors to communicate among themselves and to send messages to users that are offline.

u2um 2

This version contains the following additional functions:

• Multilingual support (including German and English)
• An in and out box for each user
• A contact list for each user
• Notification when contacts come online
• Smiley support
• Read confirmation for messages
• Messages can also be sent by email
• Encrypted password storage

u2um 3

This version is based on version 2 but with these additional functions:

• Improved error messages
• IP, date and time logging
• User can sign in as guestes
• Three user categories: a=Admin, u=normal user, g=guest
• An administration panel to edit settings
• Improved security
• Forgotten password retrieval

System Requirements

For u2um 1 you require web space with PHP support.
For version 2 and 3 you require Web space with PHP support and a MySQL database.
The disk space required for all versions is less than 1 MB.
